The Tall Totems Tour
Overview:Join us on a fun-filled trip along the Skeena River to Moricetown and witness the raging rapids of the great Canyon as well as First Nations fishing practices along the Bulkley River. Travel to Ksan Historical Village and the Gitxsan and Gitanyow communities at Kitwanga and north along Highway 37. Learn about the long houses, totem poles, unique structures and history of Ksan at this important fishing site and transportation hub. This tour also takes you to the Cranberry watershed to explore the lower Nass and the Nisga’a communities of Gitlakdamix (New Aiyansh) and Gitwinksilhkw (Canyon City). Wildlife is plentiful on this journey and you may even spot the elusive Kermodei Bear.
